A few years ago a friend of mine was telling me how much he loves hay sheds. The shape, the construction work. The simplicity. I’d never really taken notice but since then, I can barely pass one without having a look. 
I spotted one around Christmas time, it’s rusty exterior was backlit by the moon giving a beautiful contrast against a deep blue winter sky…
 
I did this piece based on what I saw that night. Then, a musician pal asked if he could use it for his album entitled ‘half moon homeward’. I thought the name fitted perfectly. 
 
It comes as an 8 x 8 inch print. I think that suits it.
